Our goal is to provide the information that matters to the citizens so that they can make informed choices at the polls and stay current on local events and issues affecting the town, the schools and the community. Our editorial mission will be to provide unbiased coverage of the issues by presenting multiple perspectives in a concise format.
Like the versatile Swiss Army Knife, Amherst today is meant to be a tool that serves multiple functions. Here is what you will find on Amherst Today:
Home- View short abstracts of the latest information with links to the full-length versions
Education- what are the issues facing the town and a round up of news on state and national trends?
Government- Not politics but government. How are decisions made, who makes them and how can you join the discussion? This section includes links and contact information for the town officials.
Useful links- links to the different town services, the schools, the rec department and local organizations.

All this information and more is available via a simple drop down menu. Look for the red Event Guide at the top of every page. You can easily add an event to your own calendar.
